Matstova has run a home bakery for over 20 years, and it was previously called Strynefjell Draktverkstad when jumpers and other items were sewn and made there. Since then the building has been extended 3 times, (most recently in the winter of 2014) and we now have a large space with room for over 100 people. The outdoor area has also been done up and extended with a deck where you can enjoy your food in the sun. We also serve dinner in the high season with homemade food. We make cakes to order and can serve a three-course dinner, a cold buffet or catering if you wish to have it in your own premises. Otherwise we are open for those who wish to hold a christening, confirmation, birthdays, Christmas parties or whatever you might wish outside the season. All year round we bake fiskelefser and kaffilefser (types of lefse, soft Norwegian flatbread) and flatbrød (crisp flatbread), which are very popular here in the district and with travellers. We sell our products all year round at the shop in Stryn at Stryn Torg. Matstova in Oppstryn is open on 1 May, when we have our traditional 1 May breakfast. There you get a rich selection of homemade food. On 17 May we serve dinner with, among other things, meat in gravy and homemade kjøttkaker (Norwegian meat patties), which are the most in demand. The summer season lasts from the middle of June to the middle of August. Welcome!
