Why Tuni exists
Many of Norway's best farm shops are surprisingly hard to find.
Some are not on Google Maps. Others have little information online. Often you need to know someone who knows someone, or be a local, to know where they are.
At the same time, Norwegian farmers and small-scale producers make wonderful produce and products that deserve to be discovered by more people.
That is why Tuni exists.
We want to make it easier to find farm shops and local products straight from the producer, with no middlemen. We also want to give farm shops a visible and trustworthy presence online.
Where does the name Tuni come from?
Tuni is inspired by the tun, the farmyard at the heart of a Norwegian farm. For generations, the tun has been where people meet, trade, share stories and build local communities. We want Tuni to be the digital path to these meeting places.
Built on trust
We want Tuni to be the most accurate and trustworthy guide to farm shops in Norway.
Every listing is reviewed by hand by the Tuni editorial team before it is published. We check the information as carefully as we can, so that people can rely on what they find.
But we are not building Tuni alone. Users can tell us about new farm shops, report mistakes and help keep the information up to date.
For shoppers and producers
For shoppers, Tuni is about making it easier to discover local products and the people behind them.
For farm shops, Tuni is about visibility. About being found. About being able to tell people who you are, what you sell and when you are open.
We believe both sides win when the distance between producer and consumer gets shorter.
Who we are
Tuni is made by Philip, Selma and Bjørn-Ivar, who have backgrounds in IT and organisational work.
Although we are based in Oslo, our roots are in Toten, Sørumsand and Ålesund. Growing up there, and through our own experience, we have seen how much local producers, small businesses and thriving local communities matter.
These are the values we want to bring to Tuni.
This is just the beginning
Tuni launched in 2026 with more than 440 verified farm shops, and we work every day to make the guide more complete.
The goal is simple: when someone wants to find local products straight from the producer, they should be able to trust Tuni to show them the way.
