We are based in Syvde, 2 hours south of Ålesund and 1 hour north of the surfing paradise Stadt. We are a perfect choice for the family with children who want to enjoy country life, for those who want to hike in the mountains, for those who want to fish in the fjord or for those who want to enjoy the good life in a genuine piece of rural Norway. We can offer: - Stays in distinctive cabins, designed by nature architect Bjørn V. Eik. Panoramic windows facing the fjord and the village, natural slate floors, concrete, wood panelling and timber logs inside. Turf roofs and villmarkspanel (rustic wide timber cladding) outside. - Planting and differences in height between the cabins ensure that there is little view into the cabins, but a full view out from all of them. - Access to a wood-fired sauna with steps leading straight into the fjord. - Loan of a boat with echo sounder and a 25/30 hp engine, nautical charts with good fishing spots marked, and life jackets for young and old. Fishing rods can be borrowed. - Hiking maps with over 80 well-marked trails in the nearby mountains.
