We, Veronika and Terje Grønmyr, bought Kråen Gard in December 2017. At that time there had been no farming there for many years. Since then we have worked on maintaining and renovating the farmhouse, the barn and the farmyard. The aim is to look after all the buildings, the farmyard, the cultivated land and the cultural landscape. Today we keep a few animals, Boer goats. The previous farmers grew a lot of potatoes, berries and fruit. Many of the old fruit trees and berry bushes are still standing here. This gave us the inspiration to start small-scale production of cordial, jam and jelly. Black elder also grows very well on the sheltered slopes around the farmyard. This has given us a good supply of elderflowers, and our speciality is elderflower cordial, which has become very popular. Farm shop, food experiences and events: In the cellar of the farmhouse there is today a farm shop with a dining room for 12 guests, and in the barn there is a farm café with room for about 80 guests. Here we offer local food experiences and events such as meetings, courses, gatherings with work colleagues, milestone birthdays, weddings and christenings in cosy and unique premises. Accommodation: On the farm you can also stay overnight in comfortable hotel rooms in the farmyard, in the form of micro houses, with their own bathroom and kitchenette. Or you can stay in one of our beautifully furnished glamping tents, which we rent out from May to September. On request we serve both breakfast and other meals, according to the guest's wishes. Activities: It is a short distance to both short and longer walks along the sea or in the mountains. Down by the sea we have our own wood-fired sauna, and there you can also bathe in the sea or in a hot tub with both cold and hot water. You can hire a canoe and paddle along the shore, or fish from our smooth coastal rocks. If you fancy catching your own crab, we will help you with both the fishing and the preparation afterwards.
