About Jordbærstova

For several decades Jordbærstova has built up a fantastic brand. The restaurant has good capacity and can receive about 80 dining guests. In addition we have a lovely function room in our old barn, with capacity for another 45 people, as well as about 20 seats in our garden on sunny summer days. In the kitchen we make our famous strawberry cake with genuine Valldal berries, as well as other dishes using as many local ingredients as possible. We focus on traditional Norwegian meals, and want to offer our guests good food in a down-to-earth way. In the farmyard you will also find "Gamlehuset", where we offer accommodation in our three double rooms. In 2023 Synnøve and Mathilde took over the baton from Åse and Kåre Erstad, who had run the successful restaurant for over 20 years. An important goal for us was to upgrade the restaurant, but still carry on with the same concept and atmosphere that Åse and Kåre have built up over all the years.
