At the head of Årvågsfjorden lies the barn belonging to the farm which today is run by Kari and Arve Johan Goa. The farm is in full operation with dairy cows, sheep, goats and hens. In the summer you are met by the much-loved bottle-fed lambs, kids (young goats) and calves. Here you will get an insight into Norwegian agriculture as it is today, and inside the barn various old implements are on display, giving an impression of how farming was carried out in earlier times. In the shop you will find goods for every taste. Popular items are the sheepskin products from our own sheep, knitted woollen socks and mittens, honey, salmon, klippfisk (salted, dried cod) and salt, among other things. The barn is also used as premises for hire for events such as christenings, family reunions, confirmations and weddings, as well as courses and conferences. The premises are equipped with a commercial kitchen and what you need to hold a party for up to 100 people. We have a full licence in the bar. WELCOME to Gammellåven! Opening hours: We are open every weekend from Midsummer and throughout July. Otherwise during the year we are open on special occasions such as Christmas, Easter etc., as well as some weekends. The opening hours this summer will be 13 - 17.
