Farm bakery in Heidal. The farm was a crofter's holding under Bjølstad Gard, which was one of the largest farms in Heidal. Heidal is one of the best-known places in Norway where many old houses stand together. The farm we live on is called Nyhus. We have tried to look after the old food traditions in Heidal. We use potatoes in the flatbrød (crisp flatbread) and the lefse (soft Norwegian flatbread), just as they did up here in the old days. Rømmebrød is a sweet cake to have with coffee. Come and visit, we have the farm shop open all year, 7 days a week, and here you can also taste the products. Our products: Potetlefse, Potetflatbrød and Rømmebrød. To order goods, call: 906 99 412 after 20.00. The lefse costs NOK 120 for a pack of 2 lefse.
