About Finnerud Gård

In 2021 we moved into Finnerud - the farm had stood empty for several years and there had been no farming here since the 1960s. We wanted to build the farm up again, on nature's terms. A cowshed was built, new meadow was sown, chicks were hatched, pastures were cleared and a small-scale vegetable production was established. All the farm enterprises were to contribute to a greater whole; the cows making compost for the market garden, the vegetables rejected in sorting being used as animal feed and every single little patch on the farm being put to use. Today a network of enterprises contributes to a sustainable whole and profitability on our farm, anchored in good soil - everything comes from, and becomes, soil, and we want to look after it. In the farm shop we sell our own meat, eggs and vegetables, supplemented with local food and equipment if you want to make quality food yourself! Welcome!
