About Troppå Gard
Troppå Gard in Meland in Nordhordland runs egg production with free-range hens and processes meat from the old Norwegian spælsau (old Norwegian short-tail sheep breed). On the farm there is a self-service farm shop open around the clock, where you can buy fresh eggs at any time of day. They also sell pinnekjøtt (salted, dried lamb ribs), fenalår (cured leg of lamb), legs of lamb, shoulder and skinnfell (traditional sheepskin rugs) from their own animals. Gift packs with eggs can be ordered by telephone or e-mail. The new sheep barn is a demonstration barn, and anyone interested can get in touch for a visit.
