Syse Gard has been in the family's ownership since 1888, and today the sixth generation is carrying on the legacy. The farm is a central part of the well-known Frukt- og siderruta in Hardanger. Here deep traditions are combined with modern innovation in a sustainable way. In our farm shop you will find a wide selection of the farm's own products. We are proud of our status as one of the few 'Håndlaga' (handmade) businesses in Norway. Here you can buy everything from fresh apple juice of many varieties, to homemade jam, tinned plums and sweet cherries. We also process lamb according to old traditions. The selection includes, among other things, flavourful fenalår (cured leg of lamb), cured sausage and pinnekjøtt (salted, dried lamb ribs) from lambs that have grazed in unspoilt nature. Everything is processed directly on the farm to ensure the highest quality and the most authentic flavour. For those who want to learn more, we offer guided farm tours and cider tasting in the summer season. Here you get an insight into the production and a taste of our fine drops. In the summer we also keep our pleasant summer café open, where we serve local dishes in idyllic surroundings.
