About Alm Gard
Alm Gard is run by Guus Morel and Laurien Geerse, who moved here from the Netherlands in 2004. At Alm Gard organic ice cream and gouda cheese are produced, among other things. We use as much of our own fruit and berries as possible, and we pick cloudberries and blueberries up in the mountains. There are no longer any cows on the farm, and Almgard works together with Vange Gard in Vik, which supplies organic milk. There are 12 beehives on the farm for our own honey production. All kinds of farm products are sold on the farm, including ice cream, yoghurt, jam, cordial, cheese, honey, bread, gift packs and more. Products can be bought in a small farm café. It is possible to watch the production of ice cream and cheese while enjoying a cup of coffee with ice cream in the café. Guests can also spend time with the horses or take a look in the cheese cellar where the cheeses mature. Guus and Laurien are happy to tell you about everything that happens on the farm and to show you around. All in all, Almgard offers a pleasant setting for a shorter or longer stay in beautiful surroundings with a thousand and one walking opportunities and a view of the Sognefjord. Welcome to our farm!
