Nordre Bergan gård has a long history and there have previously been livestock, strawberries and carrots here. Apples have been grown on the farm since the 50s, and pumpkins since 1999. In the spring of 2024 Tomine and Mikkel moved to Nordre Bergan gård and set out on the journey of our lives. With no previous experience of farming, we sold our flat in Oslo and moved to Råstad to start our new life as farmers. The idea of farm life came to us after an autumn holiday working at a vineyard in England. That was when we began to consider what is important to us in life - and Mikkel found a farm for sale with, among other things, cider production, which was here at Råstad. We went back and forth with ourselves many times to work out whether this was something we really wanted, and in the end we concluded that we were willing to. In the farm shop you will find apple juice, cider and ice cider produced on our farm. We have honey from our own bees and will have seasonal produce in season. Lillavendel from Helgeroa and Crema kaffebrenneri, which is 2 minutes from us, are products we also stock. In the autumn you will find the seasonal goods pumpkins, ornamental gourds, pickling cucumbers and apples for sale.
