Staying overnight at a seter (summer mountain farm) is wonderful for both adults and children! Perhaps you should treat yourselves to a seter holiday this year? We have cows, calves, horses, hens, rabbits, hens, pigs, kids (young goats) and lambs. All the milk from the cows is processed into cheese, cream and butter. We have a little farm shop with our own and other local produce. We serve rjomegraut (sour cream porridge) and other seter food, and also offer day activities. Here young and old can try trail riding, but then it is wise to book a time in advance. Function rooms all year round. Tinn and Rjukan have a lot to offer, with Gaustatoppen 45 km away. Previous guests have given much praise and Håvardsrud Seterliv received the BU-prisen for Telemark in 2011! Would you like to be a crofter? At the crofter's holding Herlaugstaul you live as in the old days without electricity and running water; here we also have hens and small animals you can look after. A completely unique experience in an authentic little house in the middle of the forest, all to yourselves. Then you are welcome up to the seter, which lies 5 km away; you can walk the old seter road or drive.
