About Lia Gard
Lia Gard is a small farm run by Monica Moen Kvendset and Jostein Kvendset at Lykkjeeidet in Surnadal. On the farm there are 60 adult Boer goats, hens, rabbits, alpacas, dogs, cats and a family of five. In the farm bakery Monica does artisan baking of various types of bread and cakes, which are offered in our own farm shop as well as at various REKO-rings (local food distribution networks), at fairs, and with selected partners. The aim of the operation at Lia Gard is to be able to deliver products of top quality based on a sustainable resource base. WE USE NO PRESERVATIVES IN ANY OF OUR BAKED GOODS! We have fantastic resources in the local area, and we want to make use of this potential by: • Processing and selling meat from our own production • Processing and selling other by-products from the meat production (Hides etc.) • Offering sustainable landscape management using our Boer goats. • Offering fresh and good baked goods with local ingredients from our own farm bakery.
