Sparstadstølen in Sanddalen is a traditional støl (summer mountain farm) in Vang i Valdres, where the støl work is still carried out the old way without electricity. Here the animals are milked by hand, the butter is churned by hand and the cheese is made over a wood fire. In the summer season you can visit the støl and buy homemade brunost (brown cheese) and støl butter directly from the producer. It is also possible to order traditional støl food such as rømmegrøt (sour cream porridge), lapper (small thick pancakes) and spekemat (cured meats). Sparstadstølen offers both local food and an authentic experience of living støl culture in Valdres.
