About Biri Landhandel
Local farmers have joined forces to start Biri landhandel. The idea was to show off all the good food and drink made here. And to everyone's great delight, the venture has caught on with the public! A good mix of villagers and visitors come here to shop. We work with farmers and producers from the district around us. You can be confident that the goods we sell are of good quality and locally sourced. Those behind the country store are Hemhjort, Biri gårdsmeieri/Kluke samdrift, Semb gård, Biri Verk, Ner Gryte, Øfst oppi, Kårstad Gård and Torvild Sveen. The old shop premises have been done up and the shopkeeper's counter has been restored to its former glory. It was in use in Biri Øverbygd until 1924, and had been in storage for a hundred years before Biri Landhandel opened its doors in November 2024. The country store has already attracted attention nationally, and regularly receives enquiries from others who want to start up in the same way. Biri landhandel is located opposite Biri Dyreklinikk, and is easy to find in the centre of Biri: Birivegen 52. Welcome!
