About Hol Ysteri
Hol Ysteri is a goat cheese dairy in Hol in Hallingdal, started in 2016 as an offshoot of the family business Prestholt Geitost. The premises house Lokalmatbutikken, where you can buy the cheese dairy's own goat's cheeses, goat's milk products, meat from goat and reindeer, fresh sourdough and rye bread at weekends, cakes, jam, granola and drinks, as well as selected products from other local food producers. Through large windows you can watch cheesemaking and cheese maturing at close quarters. The place also has eat-in and takeaway food with pizza, salads, grilled cheese sandwiches and cheese boards, among other things, plus outdoor seating and tourist information.
