Everything we make is baked on an iron griddle. This is one of the oldest ways of cooking food. We use no "quick fixes" in our production. All doughs and batters are made from scratch, from first-class raw ingredients. Nor do we add preservatives. The baking itself is craftsmanship. We think you can taste that when you take a bite! "Welcome to a bit of shopping with real flavour......." The farm shop and the café, which sit wall to wall with the bakery and the cowshed, saw the light of day on 1 April 2015. Here the day's baking is served with the coffee - or you can choose a freshly baked lapp (small griddle pancake) straight from the griddle with homemade jam - and stølsrumme (sour cream from the støl, a summer mountain farm) in season. You can also order "Hallingdal's national dish" for lunch, which is småmat (local cured meat and sausage dish) and lefsekling (lefse, a soft Norwegian flatbread, with butter and sugar). We do not have ordinary "fast food" such as hamburgers, crisps and fizzy drinks, but we can tempt you with sausages from the local producer Tamt og Vilt alongside our lovely potetlomper (soft potato flatbread) or "eplekaku" (apple cake) as it is called here in the valley, and homemade cordial to drink.
