The farm was previously used for livestock farming, which was established in the 1960s. Torgrim, who owned this farm, was born and raised here and has roots in Rogaland. Torgrim and Halvor Holtan started a farm shop in 2003. Torgrim and Halvor expanded what the shop offered little by little. Eventually they also decided to expand by building a stone oven so that customers could have a bite to eat when they dropped by. In the spring of 2023, Halvor and Torgrim chose to retire after many years of hard work and satisfied customers. Anne and Halvard bought the farm at Holtan from Halvor, who supplies apples and apple juice to the shop, and we wanted to continue with this. When the guests are happy, we think that is really nice, and this is why we want to continue. Our aim is for your visit to be a small culinary experience, whether you are just going to buy apples or take a breather and enjoy baked goods from the stone oven and a steaming hot freshly brewed coffee. We have had various products that we are continuing with, but we also try to bring in a few new products each year.
