About Sandalen Gård
Sandalen gård is Randaberg's first fruit farm. In 2011 the farm changed from livestock and grass production to modern dense fruit plantings. In 2020 the farm received a licence to produce alcohol, and in 2021 a licence to sell it. In the farm shop we sell apples, plums, juice, jelly and cider. The farm differs a little from a standard fruit farm in that, besides the usual apple varieties Discovery, Rød Aroma and Rubinstep, it grows unusual apple varieties such as Santana, Wellant, Asfari, Rosette, Freya, Rubinola, Tohoku 2, Elrosa, Sommeseth redstreak, Julka, Ellis bitter and Katja. These are used to make juice and cider with new flavours.
