About Ystelyst Håndverksysteri
Ystelyst Håndverksysteri is an organic farm cheese dairy at Nordre Berg in Vestre Gausdal. Here milk from the farm's own goats is processed into a varied selection of artisan cheeses and dairy products. The range includes white goat's cheese, chèvre, cream cheese, feta and halloumi types, yoghurt, kefir and cultured milk. In season, Ystelyst also offers kid (young goat) meat, goat meat and processed meat products. The products can be ordered and collected directly at the farm by appointment. Ystelyst's products are also sold in the self-service stall at Ydmyk Bakeri at Sjusjøen, where you can buy selected products whenever it suits you. In summer the goats move to Ulsrudsætra in Gausdal Vestfjell, where Ystelyst organises open seter (summer mountain farm) days with the chance to buy cheese and experience traditional seter farming.
