NerSalberg gård has a lovely location with a view over Trondheimsfjorden and Hylla. Here you can experience a diversity of vegetables, flour from old grain varieties (ancient grains), historic livestock breeds and lots of friendly people. We at NerSalberg care about showing consideration for the soil, the people and the animals on the farm, and we offer good meeting places and ingredients for people and animals. We farm organically and are certified by Debio (Norwegian organic certification body) for vegetables, meat and ancient grains (old grain varieties). Part of the farm's production is delivered to restaurants in Trondheim and to Taste Experience in Henning, Steinkjer. We welcome school classes and farm visits by appointment. This summer the farm is open for woolly pig safaris and garden walks in the market garden. New this year is that we also offer accommodation with the possibility of simple food service. A little about the farm's history: The farm is run by Marit and Jakob Støre-Valen, who are the 5th generation to run it. We took over the farm in 2012 and converted to organic farming, first with vegetables and later with ancient grains and sheep. In 2020 we also got mangalitsa pigs on the farm, which live outdoors all year round (woolly pigs). Our vision is for the farm to give the best from the soil in a sustainable way, with much consideration for animals and people. We want the farm to be a resting place and a place for good experiences, with good food made from good ingredients. Here there is always time for a chat.
