About Hindrum Gårdsysteri
Hindrum Gårdsysteri is an organic farm cheese dairy at Hindrem in Fosen, Trøndelag, established in 2014 at Hindrum Nedre Gård. The cheese dairy is run by Frode Hindrum and Lise Mathiesen, and its aim is to produce handmade, locally sourced quality cheeses inspired by international cheese traditions, adapted to Norwegian raw materials and conditions. The range consists mainly of hard cheeses, and the products are sold through, among other channels, the farm shop, grocery shops, Bondens Marked (farmers' market) and to catering businesses. The farm has long traditions of organic milk production and has been in the family's ownership for several hundred years.
