I am based on my childhood farm at Kraksletta on the Malangshalvøya peninsula, about 40 km from Tromsø via Ryatunellen. I have worked as a chef all my life and am very concerned with preserving our food traditions and looking after our cultural heritage. Here we have both a nursery garden and a splendid production facility containing a lovely kitchen with a farm shop/café and a lavvu (Sámi tent) on the farm. On the horticultural side, summer flowers and herb plants of the very highest quality are produced for sale in season. Otherwise, herbs, berries and vegetables are grown for further processing. In the kitchen we produce a good deal of traditional baking in the form of several types of lefse (soft Norwegian flatbread) and bread, but also other products made from good old venerable recipes that are being brought back into use. The farm has full serving licences and focuses on both local food and drink.
