About Fattnes Bakeri

Fattnes is an old Suldal farm that has been in operation since the 1600s. Today Spelsau and Norsk Kvit sau graze on the mountain pasture here. Tyroler Gråfe graze on our land. In addition, there is forestry and a sawmill. In 2022 we built a bakery on the farm. The driving force is being able to share genuine joy, and sustainable food. In the bakery we bake with Norwegian, natural ingredients. We collect newly laid eggs and fresh milk from our neighbours (Fattnes Austre) and bake with Norwegian flour from Holli Mølle. The butter in our buns comes from Rørosmeieriet. All baked goods from us are kneaded, proved and baked in Fattnes Bakeri in Suldal. We always have a few local products for sale in our little "country store". We also have hides from our animals and homemade wooden products.
